In Microsoft’s peculiar fashion of having codenames of Latin American origin (with Kinect’s original Natal name originating from a city in Brazil and “Durango” being the name of one of Mexico’s 31 states), the hot rumor is that “Durango” is the next XBox console in the works. Close sources to Microsoft voiced to Kotaku that this is, in fact, the case.
Keep in mind, this is just a codename and the concept is hardly a new idea (“Katana” being Dreamcast’s, “Dolphin” being Gamecube’s, “Revolution” being Wii’s.) You’ll be hearing this codename continuing while the project goes through its final stages.
